LUMA – Privacy Policy (Speaking Test)

This page describes how British Institutes, through the LUMA (Language Understanding Mastery Assistant) platform, processes personal data collected during the online speaking test.

1. Data controller

The data controller is British Institutes / Domax Ltd. The candidate's personal data are processed for the sole purpose of delivering and evaluating the English speaking test and managing related certification or training services.

2. Categories of data processed

The following data may be collected: identification data (name, surname, e-mail), optional information (date of birth, native language, country, purpose of the test) and audio recordings / transcripts generated during the interaction with LUMA.

3. Purpose and legal basis

Data are processed to: (a) deliver the speaking test, (b) produce an automated evaluation report, (c) keep a record of results for academic and administrative purposes. The legal basis is the candidate's consent and, where applicable, the execution of a contract for language training and certification services.

4. Data retention

Test reports and related personal data are retained only for the time necessary to fulfil certification, quality assurance and legal obligations, and may be anonymised for statistical analysis.

5. Data subjects' rights

Candidates may request access, rectification, erasure or restriction of their personal data, as well as object to their processing, by contacting the data controller through the official British Institutes channels.
